The Great Assignment

Before the ascension of Jesus Christ,  he gave his disciples an assignment to reach out to the whole world, by telling about what he has done for mankind. What his death stood for for everyone who dare to believe in him. He caution them that no one should be left out that all must receive the information of what he has done for mankind so that as many that believe will as well be save just as they were saved. Truly speaking, the disciples heed to the word of Jesus Christ and preach the word to everyone who they come in contact with, hence they travelled from city to city and country to country. Today we are one of the product of the fulfillment of the disciples assignment. 

Jesus Christ also told them to teach as many as accepted and believe in his death for mankind. They should make a good disciples out of them so that they will also go out and fulfill the same assignment that Jesus Christ gave them. In other words, anybody who have embraced Jesus Christ as his lord and saviour will also take out and fulfill that assignment because the world need to know what Jesus Christ has done for them so that they will be part of that great salvation which he has given to mankind.

The early church took the assignment very serious to an extent that a lot of them died in the cause. Due to the expansion of the assignment which was given to the disciples, the word has really gone worldwide, hence we received  it through other means like Television station, Radio stations, Flyers, Magazines and so on. Despite all this publications in order to reach out to every soul on earth, the present church has not been effective compare to what the early church did.

The present church is backward in this part of obeying God’s word. In the early Eighties this was the most fulfilling assignment of the church. A lot of people do wakes up in the morning to preach (MORNING CRY), crusades, and evangelism (personal and group) were their almost yearnings. As they were doing it signs and wonders was also following which was also part of the assignment. You see the hand of God in the church because they were doing it without physical or material expectations from no one but yet they were getting those things because Jesus Christ said.

33But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. 34Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.  Matt. 6:33-34

But today you hardly see and hear of people having an encounter God unlike the Eighties were you hear testimonies of different people of how heaven was revealed to them: powerful testimonies were being heard of in the church.

Presently the testimonies you hear from the church is how they were being pursued in the dream, ate in the dream, bath in the dream and saw their forefathers. Most of the testimonies you hear in the church today are faithless testimonies. Though not all the churches, but 80 percent are faulty in carry out THE GREAT ASSIGNMENT: Go ye into the world and preach the gospel. All based on the foundation of how that particular church was founded. The orientation they were given when they came into that particular  church determines their faith in God. There was a day watch on TV station how a church drinks beer during service. Before the service will start the bottles of beer are already there waiting to be shared amongst the members. And there were a lot people who claim to be worshipping God. On the last we have a lot to defend before God for God is not mock whatever a man so he will reap.

There was a day I visited a man of God who taught his members that marriage is the coming together of God and Devil as husband and wife. Either the man or the woman may represent God and Devil in the marriage vise visa. You should imagine the conflict he will build in the home of his members. Light and darkness cannot dwell together. The same battle that took place in heaven will also takes place in that home. (Revelation 12:8-9)

I urge the body of Christ to wake up from their slumberness and carry the cross of Evangelism.

34And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.  Mark 8:34

Now that you have know the truth about accepting Christ, God also expect you to spread the truth to those who are to be saved, because you have been saved to save others. 

15And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. 17And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.  Mark 16:15-18

Today, the churches are littered with cord of thieves, liars, fornicators, adulterers and adulteresses who came into the church not because they gave their life to Christ but because they heard that the pastor in-charge is a wealthy and is reaching out to the poor people in the church, and those who are ready to be his members. Due to this, the church will be filled with those who are ready to give their life to the money and material things. The pastor will think that he is doing an effective evangelism for the kingdom of God  but he is just gathering the devil’s candidate. 

4and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.  2Timothy 4:4

It has been a competition among ministers; if you don’t have money to give to your members, you will loose them. It has also become a business to those who do accept the membership base on the currency. They are now moving from church to church. I am not saying that a pastor should not render help to people. All I am saying is that it should be an unconditional help whether the person is your member or not help him or her.

And on the last day there will be a riot at the gate fue to identification of members because all works shall be tried with fire

Go ye therefore and preach God’s love to the world that he gave his only begotten son so that we might escape the eternal destruction. And bring forth fruit that God will be proud of.

12Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.  John 14:12

Jesus Christ said the same work that I have done, you will do also but your own will be greater than his. Christ did not entice anybody with money but he preached and people got repented at will that was why he was able to raised followers who acted like him.

13Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus. (Act 4:13)

What legacy have you deposited that your generation unborn will learn from, and how many life have affected positively that after you must have died people will still remember and take knowledge of them that they were your products?

Go out and preach to that man, woman, boy, or girl who is wasting away in the street. You don’t preach by judging the persons lifestyle, all you do is just tell him or her about the love of God which he had given to mankind and the redemption of our souls due to the death of his only begotten son of God.

God has always love us all and prove the deepness of his love and made a sacrifice to win back our love. For God loved us first before we loved him. God bless
